Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Hi, my name is Bongo. I’m an affectionate, inquisitive, active , and I have to say, adorable boy. I’m average-sized for a Britt and healthy as can be. The vet says I’m about 3 years old.
I didn’t get much attention where I lived before, so I really prefer to be near people who might give me a scratch or two. I’ll climb up into your lap to get my tummy rubbed, and I’ll sleep on your bed if you’ll let me. I’m a smart guy, and have had some training – I sit and wait for food and treats – but I could sure use some more instruction. I’m good walking on a leash, and I don’t pull the way a lot of other Brittanys do. I’m house broken and and I am learning to use the doggie door at my foster home. I love people food and have been known to counter surf, but I’m learning I shouldn’t. I’ll get in a crate if you insist, but I’ll certainly tell you I’m not too happy about.
I’m currently living with a couple of other Britts, and we get along great. I especially like playing chase and wrestling with my foster brother. It would be super if you had another dog about my age that needs a playmate. My foster dad says I’m a good dog and with just a little attention and training, will be a loving and loyal family member, and make the people in my forever home always happy to have me around. If you would like to take me home with you, please fill out our onlineadoption application .
Bongo was rescued from a shelter in Lexington, VA. He was in good condition, and the shelter felt that his owner would reclaim him, but nobody came forward. Bongo has been neutered, is heartworm negative, and is up tp date on his vaccinations.
