Meet Bernard (aka Bernie). This little petite boy who is only around 33 lbs. is a loaded firecracker! Bernie is a HARD WIRED DRIVEN Brittany. All he wants to do is WORK!Bernard is one who will need a job a REAL JOB! One that will keep him busy and wear him out by the end of the day. He has been gun tested and did just fine. Actually got pretty excited when it went off. Could hunting be in his future? Maybe Agility or even Field Trial? This boy has talent and energy to burn! When Bernard came to us, he was a master escape artist, but now, he will sit before going outside and is now allowed to run free around our fenced portion of our property without fear of him escaping. He also has learned to come with two tweets of a whistle. Bernard’s walking skills will need a lot of work on a leash and redirection. Bernard is a true DIAMOND IN THE RUFF!Bernard lives with his foster brother and they are best buds. He also loves his snuggle time and of course all the attention that can be bestowed on him. Bernard is leery of kids and has not been around cats. Bernard will need time to adjust in his new home as he is unsure of new situations.so patience and time is the key with him.The perfect home for Bernard will be one that is experienced with the breed and their energy level and even better if he has another Brittany that shares his enthusiasm. A GOOD SOLID FENCED YARD IS A MUST for this escape artist. He looks at life as a puzzle that must be solved. If you are interested in adopting Bernard, please complete the online application and mention his name and ID number. Bernard is UTD on his vaccines and H/W negative and on preventative.HISTORY: Bernard came to us through another rescue that had placed him, but it did not work out. He was too high energy, too wild for them. Since having him in our rescue, we have worked hard to tame the wild in him and give him the tools to succeed.
