Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Bentley is on the hunt for his forever family. This sweet boy with a beautiful, full tail and incredibly soft coat was an owner surrender from Oklahoma currently being fostered in south Texas. Initially a very timid little guy, Bentley’s really come out of his shell and hanging out with his 3 y/o foster brother, Charlie.
Bentley and Charlie are very playful dogs so this has been a great match for him. Bentley LOVES, and I mean LOVES the water! If you can’t find him, just look for water and you will find him in it. Bentley also loves to play with his toys as well as playing fetch with you. Bentley does however feel the need that he has to bark or even growl when people come to our door and even though he is in his element when playing or swimming, he still gets timid in other areas. He is a little food protective, so he should be fed separately from your other dogs.
Bentley is about as lovable as a dog can be once he gets to know you, giving you kisses, snuggling up next to you on the couch and being loyal to you as he will follow you around everywhere you go. He really does need a backyard to run around in and get his energy out, and would do great with a purpose such as perhaps agility or hunting or something to keep him busy and happy. He’s truly a prince of a dog with huge potential.
Bentley’s perfect home will be one with a nice backyard and a small kiddie pool or access to a pool of some sort! Bentley will need a family who is loving, patient and can hopefully be home with him as much as possible to spend time building his confidence by taking him out in areas where there are other dogs and people.
If Bentley sounds like the Brittany you have been looking for, please fill out the online application and mention his name and ID#. A meet and greet should happen so we can answer questions and allow him to meet his potential family and fur brothers/sisters.
Bentley is up to date on his vaccines and heartworm negative and on preventative.
Bentley is an owner surrender from Oklahoma who tried to give him a much better life than before they took him in. Unfortunately, work and kids functions took them away from home more and therefore, he was getting less attention and exercise. They realized he needed more and reached out to ABR for help.
