Dog Story: Hi, my name is Bella! I am about 9 months old, and am looking for my forever home. I had a rough start in life, before I came to stay with the folks from ABR, I lived in a kennel with very little human interaction. I had to learn all sorts of things over the winter, starting with trusting people. My first weeks were both exciting and scary at the same time! Being warm, and laying on something soft and comfy was great, but some of those new noises were overwhelming. Fast forward to now, and I am a new dog! I love to snuggle with people, give gentle kisses when asked, and love to RUN! I hope you have a nice big yard for me to run laps in! Foster mom here: Although already 6 months old when she arrived in rescue, she had never been touched, let alone loved, and was very scared of everything. After a few weeks, she started to come out of her shell, and test out her new environment. She learned quickly that people were not as scary as she thought, and that we gave her food, treats and best of all, love and attention. Bella will need a family that will continue to help her learn about being a dog. She currently lives with a young puppy, and has fun playing with him. Bella would do great with about any type of family, as she currently lives with 2 preschoolers, and also enjoys quiet time with adults for snuggles and pets. She will need a fenced in yard, as she runs faster than any dog I have ever seen. Bella is able to keep her kennel dry when we are at work during the day, and has done well with housebreaking. Bella knows some basic commands, kennels great and loves people. Do you have room in your home for a sweet girl that had a rough start?
