Meet Beau, a DASHINGLY HANDSOME 5 year old boy just looking for that right home to call his own! Beau is a one of a kind Brittany! He’s tall, he’s handsome, he LOVES children, great around other dogs, loves to love and to be loved, walks okay on a leash, listens to commands well and the list goes on. So what could possibly be the downside of such an awesome Boy? Well, he HATES to be crated broke some of his teeth he hates it so much. He was fine until he turned 2 and then he just decided that being in a crate was a very bad thing for him. So we don’t crate him and he does wonderfully! Beau has never chewed on items he shouldn’t! So what else could be the issue? Well.He is very storm phobic! He takes meds to help him with the anxiety and we also have Pheromone plugs ins in our home which has GREATLY diminished his fear, but when he starts to get nervous his way of escaping is jumping up on the counters, the table or even on top of the fridge. Again, he doesn’t destroy anything, just knocks things down in an attempt to escape the pressure he feels when the storms roll in. We just have learned to move anything breakable to another room he doesn’t go into and then we are fine. The last storms that rolled through a few days ago, we could tell he was up on the counter, but nothing was knocked down.so the combination is working for him. What would be Beau’s most beneficial home? A home with another dog is an absolute must! This has greatly reduced his anxiety and between everything else, we feel this is a win-win combo. A home with children would be a plus as he loves them dearly. A home that would make him part of their every day lives would be extremely beneficial. At 2 yrs old, he started trying to escape from his crate and showing signs of being very afraid of storms. The family loved him to the moon and back, but it was too much for them to handle as he was hurting himself, so they reached out to our rescue.
