Hi,

My name is Beau, and I’m almost 2 years old. I’m a large, handsome, active neutered male looking forward to finding my forever home.  I’m smart and I’ve been obedience trained, but I need to work on my commands, especially “heel”.  I love to go on long walks, hikes and run off leash when it’s safe, I also love the dog park and am well behaved there. It’s safe to leave me home alone.  I get along with adults, children, and other dogs, but don’t know about cats. I love to be next to my humans. I’ve recently been given a clean bill of health, but sometimes my eyes tear up, likely allergies.

Foster dad here, Beau has been with me for a little over a month and I believe he would do best in an active family environment.  He likes to be close to his humans whether inside or outside and will alert you to possible trouble. Beau really enjoys running off leash and is pretty good responding to the “here” command. He is very relaxed and easygoing when indoors. Beau is easily startled, especially at night when he’s sleeping and someone unexpectedly enters the room. I believe he’d enjoy the company of another dog.  He is crate trained.

HISTORY:

Beau came to us as an owner surrender.  He didn’t seem to get along with the husband but did well with everyone else.  Beau has been perfectly fine at our home with lots of visitors and with me. We have not seen any of the behavior they were experiencing with him.
