Adopted!!!
This beautiful boy is not a Brittany, but can claim honorary
Brittany status, according to my pack. This tri-colored 2 year old is most likely a field-bred
English Springer Spaniel, long and low-bodied, at a sturdy 41 lbs. Yes, those are copper patches on his cheeks, brows and tush. His owner surrendered him due
to not enough time to spend with Barrett.
This boy is well mannered, moderate energy, non-destructive,
and gets along well with other dogs. He
is generally submissive, and picks up on house rules very quickly. Barrett learned the dog door and potty
manners very quickly, as well as crate training within 3 days. He is fair on a leash, and rides well in a
car.His prior family reports a bad case of puppy strangles or
juvenile cellulitis when they first got him, as well as entropion in both
eyes. Barrett has had surgery to correct
the entropion, and is due to see a specialist on October 6 for any follow up
instructions. He has been neutered, chipped, and has beaten double ear
infections. Barrett is a love-monster.
He wants to be around his people, sitting close for pets and hugs. He really enjoys the company of other dogs, and I am
told he was good with cats and toddlers.
He does not like loud noises, and settles to sleep like a champ in his
crate. His most endearing trait so far is his “smile”. He wrinkles his nose and lips up to show you
his front teeth when you call him to you, as he wags and wiggles forward. If you are looking for a friendly, charming companion for
walks, snuggles and fun, Barrett may be your boy!
