Hello my Brittany Peoples! It’s me the talented, handsome, lovable (and humble) Barney. Can you believe of all the ABR International dogs that came here from Spain last spring I’m still looking for a home? I can’t believe it either. I’ve been keeping busy working super hard with my hoomom on my resource guarding and am doing much better. Hoomom has also been teaching me to not get too excited with the barking when the doorbell rings, but I tell ya’ a dog has to protect his peeps.Did I tell you I’ve got a super duper prey drive? Which if you want to go hunting, I’M YOUR MAN! However, if you have cats, small animals or dogs smaller than 20 lbs, I’m definitely your man. I get along great with medium to large size dogs, especially other Brittanys. I would love to play fetch if you have a ball to throw and I’m an expert level and couch potato that is willing to share my popcorn on movie night.FROM FOSTER MOM:Barney is crate trained and well-behaved in the house. Barney would be best in a home with experienced Brittany owners who understand resource guarding behavior and can continue with his training. Barney is a kind soul that wants nothing more than to be with his people Barney knows his perfect people are out there, they just haven’t found him yet.Barney was brought to the US from Spain as part of the ABR International Program.Dogs in the International Program require annual testing for Leishmaniasis; Leish is a parasitic disease that can lay dormant for up to 7 years and is common in the Mediterranean, South and Central America but not the US.If you believe Barney would be a good addition to your family please fill out the onlineadoption applicationand mention Barney. The adoption fee for dogs in the ABR International Program is $450.00.
