Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Hello, my name is Avery andI am still all puppy. I am living in my foster home with kidsas well asanother dog and I love to play with everyone. My favorite thing is playing fetch with a tennis ball. I have been following the rules but sometimes I forget and put my paws on the counters orjump on people;I just can’t help myself sometimes!I am housebroken and this house even has a doggy door just for me. I like to sleep in a crate at night near people;it makes me feel safe and I sleep so peacefully. I am nervous about loud noises and bark when I hear other dogs bark;my foster mom says we need to work on that.
Foster mom says:Avery is a smart and energetic young dog. She is a Brittany mix;my vet seems to think maybe mixed with pointer butI think a herding breed. She weighs about 35 poundsand is average height for a Brittany. She has been on her best puppy behavior here; no potty accidents or chewing on things she shouldn’t. She is high energy and needs a lot of running space or frequent walks. She settles down nicely in the evenings.Avery likes to sleep in a crate at night and I also crate her when I am out of the house for short periods of time. She knows a few commands:sit, down,no and sherecalls to her name. She needs some work on leash as she tends to pull while walking. She also gets nervous in the car but will settle down if secured. Avery needs an obedience class to help reinforce the commands she knows and learn manners in the house. She loves playing with my children and other dogs. I think she would make a great agility or Frisbee companion. Averyneeds an active home and a family to love her. If you are interested in adopting her, please complete the online adoption application and mention Avery-3493.
Avery was an owner surrender from Utah;herfamily was moving and could not take her.
