Dog Story: Meet Alfie. He is estimated to be about 18 months old but still has the spirit of a 6 month old and weighs 38 pounds with feet that are adorably too big for him. He came from Spain and is up to date on his vaccinations, all necessary tests and preventions, and is neutered. Alfie is an all around typical Britt. He is extremely energetic, but when he snoozes, he snoozes HARD. He gets along with other dogs just fine but might be a bit much for a slow moving senior. He also gets along well with cats but I would recommend a slow introduction first. He is used to living with two other Brittanys, a Poodle, a Sheltie, two hound dogs, two cats, and a 6 year old human brother so the more friends the merrier! Alfie has a whole lot of personality and needs a home that is willing to help him reel it in when necessary. He is very eager to please and would benefit greatly from formal obedience training. He also seems to pick ‘his person’ within a household and bond with them, causing him a bit of separation anxiety when he is not near them (but we have been working with him a lot while in foster care and he has improved well). He is used to being in a kennel overnight but I wouldn’t quite call him crate trained; he’s still a work in progress. Alfie really is an all around great pup with SO much potential and I would love to see how the right forever family can mold him. Alfie was an ABR rescue from Spain. We don’t know much about his background, but we knew he was going to be a higher energy Britt than the others who arrived on his flight, Alfie arrived with 5 other Britts in March.
