Hi I’m Areo, and I’m so excited to be ready to find my forever family!!!! I’m a 1.5 year old Brittany with lots of love and energy . A lot of the world is new to me and sometimes it takes me a moment to get comfortable , but so long as I’m with the people I trust, I’ll try anything!!

My foster parents keep saying I’m the perfect Britt. I’m playful, full of energy, absolutely loves to go on structured walks, play in the backyard, but after all that work my favorite thing in the world is to snuggle against you.

I love to be around my people, I like most dogs, but especially those that can match my high energy , even cats (although they play weird and I’m working on figuring that out ).

I’m mischievous at heart. I’m the sweetest girl, but I’ll also steal all your socks and gather them on my bed where I’ll play by throwing them up in the air. When I’m outside , I love to hunt butterflies and I have a high prey drive for rabbits and squirrels. I’m also learning how to point.

I’m fully house trained and I’ve learned to sleep and take naps in my crate. I feel safe there , but I still get a little nervous if I’m in my crate alone in the house. My favorite time of the day is when I get to wake up a little earlier than you so I can leave my crate and jump into bed to snuggle with you !

My foster parents say I still need some work on leash walking and basic training, but I’m still young and I learn very fast ! I’m still working toward reliable recall, so for now I need to stay on a secure leash or in a secure areas. My foster parents think I’d absolutely love running in fields of long grass once I’ve earned that freedom.

Are will thrive with an active family who can give her the exercise and attention that a young and high energy Britt requires (1.5-2h of structure walking, plus play time, independent outdoor time and mental stimulation). She wants to trust people, and if you do right by her , she’ll return that love back to you many times over. She’ll do well with other young dogs , social cats, and older kids(some young kids are scary to her). She needs daily structure and will do well in a calm environment.

If this sounds like the right fit for you she’ll be an incredible addition to your family!!!! We can’t wait to receive your application .
