Let me introduce myself.My name is Abe and I come when called – didn’t particularly answer to my other name – my foster mom slips and calls me Gus – I still come.My foster mom tells me I have learned a lot.First, I am a very good looking 2-year-old and I learn fast.Some of the things I am good at are coming when called.I am a good watch dog – I’ll let you know when something is up.I love to be outside just sitting and thinking and letting the birds know I’m here.I love to ride in the car – love my vest and am always tethered.Walks are the best with so much to see!I have learned to walk well on a leash.I sleep through the night.And I like meeting new doggies (on my terms) and after a while we are buddies.There are some things I am still working on I had some bad experience with men in my face and scaring me.I am getting better – just takes a little time.I’m grumpy in the morning if I’m not finished sleeping.After morning coffee, I am good, just don’t be right in my face.I really don’t like being alone – I hope there is another brother or sister that wants to meet me.And I will not kennel but we are working on it.Like my foster mom says – I’m a gem who will make a great life-long companion to someone special.I want to be part of a family not just in one.
