Dog Story: Meet Abby! A BEAUTIFUL and very BIRDY Brittany!! Abby came into our rescue with heartworm but we are proud to annouce she is heartworm negative and ready for her forever home! Abby is EXTREMELY friendly with other dogs and has the sweetest personality. She is high energy (which is great when you are in the field). As you can see by the pictures, she LOVES to hunt and the trainer can tell she has been in hunting groups before. At night, after a full day of activities, Abby is ready to snuggle and receive attention. Abby is about 90% housebroken. Being on the heartworm treatment and other medicine made housebreaking difficult and she had to be constantly watched. She so wants to please and now that she is no longer on the medicines we feel with, consistancy and repitition, she will be 100% in no time. The PERFECT home for Abby is one that will take her out and hunt. An active lifestyle would be awesome for her. If you would like to make Abby part of your family, then please fill out the online application and mention her name. She is up to date on her vaccines and happily, heartworm negative now. Abby was a rescued from a high kill shelter where she was picked up as a stray. After getting her to the vet for all her vaccines, we discovered she was heartworm positive.
