Happy is an energetic 100% Brittany Puppy! He is super smart, plays fetch, loves to play with water and is a toy enthusiast like no other. He does have those razor sharp shark teeth, but he is learning to redirect to toys. Happy plays hard and then loves to crash on your lap to sleep. He is a real snuggler!

Happy likes to fly in small planes and ride in your lap in the car. He is crate trained for purposes of having a safe place, but he does prefer to be with his humans cuddling. He has been around cats and numerous sized dogs, as he goes everywhere with his foster humans. He knows his name is Happy and he comes when he is called. He is working on his potty training and for such a young guy, he does really well. Only when the human forgets to take him out does Happy have an accident.

Happy, however, was born with a congenital heart defect and had surgery to enlarge his heart valve. His prognosis is excellent for a full Brittany life thanks to all of ABRs wonderful donors. He is on medication for blood pressure but he is a Happy, Energetic, into everything Brittany Puppy and sweet and cute as can be!

As Happy’s surgery was done at such a young age, there is a possibility that he will need a second surgery after he turns a year old. Therefore, he will need some special care to accommodate his needs. Happy will need random EKGs throughout his life and will need to be on heart medication twice daily for the rest of his life. The medication is actually very inexpensive, but the EKG’s are not so much. Happy has an amazing cardiology team in Los Angeles. We would hope he could stay with them the rest of his life, but wherever his forever family resides, they will need to ensure Happy is seen regularly by a cardiologist. Happy’s prognosis is that he will live a very long and normal Brittany life, with the proper care.

Happy comes when he is called, will sit and is working on stay and turn. He is gorgeous and sweet as can be and he steals the hearts of all who meet him.

The ABR family has set aside funds to help cover a second surgery should one be required. Each of us have a vested interest in Happy to ensure he has a long and happy life. He is kind of a Rockstar in the ABR family and beyond.
