Redd is like two dogs in one! Redd is super energetic and athletic, yet has a chill and mellow personality that we see and love in our Brittanys!

Redd loves running and then taking naps. Redd prefers to roam and patrol for birds but has that inate fear of “missing out” when other dogs are running and chasing the same thing.

Redd’s a distinguished gentleman but also believes his real name.  Redd loves the water and running through sprinklers but when giving him a bath, he will spend the entire bathtime crying. Redd is SUCH A DRAMA Brittany! 

Now Redd lives with Livy and they get along beautifully. He likes Livy’s confidence and it helps him when he doesn’t feel that so much. They would LOVE to be adopted together, but if not, Redd would need to go to a home with another Brittany or GSP…..he just cannot be the only dog!

Redd does have a strong, natural instinct for birding and recalls well with an ecollar. Redd has the potential for hunting (his sire is a field champion) but has never been tested. While Redd likes to be independent, he needs a companion that is near. Redd does well with other high-energy sporting dogs like GSPs that understand that running and chasing has to be put on pause if you run past a good scent. Redd originally slept in his crate for the first 2-3 years of his life, but now prefers to sleep on or next to the bed. Red just has that sweet wants to be near you type of personality!

HISTORY:

Redd, along with Livy have lived with their owners and are happy, healthy Brittanys. Due to a divorce and now the owners daughter is very ill and needing lenghty medical procedures, she knows she cannot give them the time and attention they require and wants to do the right thing by finding them a great home!
