Why would anyone name their dog JR? Maybe it’s after Julia Roberts because they both have beautiful eyes and a great smile!

JR is Brody’s littermate! They are a bonded pair, but even though they need each other to feel save in the world, they are quite different. JR is an explorer and the ore dedicated hunter of the two. She would rather hunt squirrels, chipmunks, moles and lizards in the backyard or explore at the farm than come in and sit on the porch with us….as does Brody. Rather than a cuddle, I would say JR is a SNUGGLER. If my husband sits on the couch or lies down on the bed, she is right there to snuggle up wiht him. Funny thing is JR doesn’t like to be petted as Brody does. Snuggling yes, petting, not so much.

JR is smaller than Brody, but she might be able to outrun him in a race. Both are very fast and it’s beautiful to watch them run together. Pure harmony! JR is the more accomplished counter surfer, but we don’t award gold medals for that. Oh and JR does not walk on a leash very well. She is too competitive.

The perfect home for JR is with Brody of course. Bonded pair that cannot be split up. A home with large yard or a farm as they go to reguarly now would be perfect. Still very active, so an equally active family for both would be great.

HISTORY:

JR and her brother, Brody, lived with one family all their lives. Then, their owners got ill and went into a nursing facility so we were contacted to take them in.
