Update 8/20/2024
Hi, I’m Jasper and I am looking for my forever home. Let me tell you about myself, I like EVERYONE, I like big people, they tell me I am a good boy, I like little people a lot too, but I am still learning about personal space. I like other dogs, my foster family has two dogs – a crazy sister and a senior sister, I romp with the crazy sister and when the romping is done and she goes to her kennel, I snuggle with the senior sister. When my senior sister goes to bed I do love t snuggle with my foster family as well. I’m learning to play fetch, but keep away is far more entertaining, and I found my families toy box. Did you know that toys have squeakers?! I really like squeak toys and I will sometimes get them all of and squeak each one until I find my favorite.
My foster family likes to take walks, and I figured out that I like walks too! I’ve been learning a lot from my sisters on the walks, but I sometimes forget what I’ve learned, then my fosters remind me that they have treats, and I remember until there is another bird. Then I must be reminded about the treats, and I am better on the leash. When it was hot and we went for walks, I went swimming in the lake with my sisters. I really like swimming. I also like gardening. My foster family has a pollinator garden that I LOVE to jump around in and chase the butterflies, I also like to help my foster family in the veggie garden to protect them from the butterflies.
Some other things you should know about me, I do get a little nervous when my foster family leaves the house, but they turn on the radio for me and that makes me feel better. I follow the people in the house around to help them out, you know to protect them from those pesky butterflies. I am kennel trained, and I would sleep in the bed with my foster family if they let me, but they don’t want to start something that may not be acceptable for my forever family. I really don’t like to brag, but since I’ve been here, I’ve only had one accident, and that’s just because the foster family was learning my mannerisms.
What I hope to have in my forever home is a fenced backyard so I can run around and watch the world. I would like a family that will help keep me learning. I already know sit, with me, kennel up, leave it, drop it (sort of), off, down, and I’m starting to learn stay. Stay is so hard, I know there’s a treat, it’s just a questions of WHEN!
I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative on preventative, microchipped and was neutered on 8/13. Please help me find my forever home.
