Meet Sadie, a very active 7 yr old with the energy and enthusiasm of a Brittany HALF her age! This girl is ready for her 1st walk at 4:00 in the morning, 10 at night or anytime inbetween and yet, she settles down after each walk. Sadie has no desctructive qualities and is free to roam our home. She doesn’t like the crate.

Sadie is good with adults an kids. We have Grandchildren, 7 and 9 and they have taken her for walks along with our other 15 yr old Brittany. Sadie LOVES to hunt and is passionate about it. She will point at cowbirds and robins if nothing larger is in sight. How Sadie will be in the field, though, we do not know as we are not hunters.

Sadie gets along fine wiht our older Brittany, but Sadie is very quick to assert dominance over other dogs. She was getting berated by daucshunds who came to live with her and she didn’t get any help to be protected from them, so she became an alpha and will not tolerate dogs in her face, etc. Sadie is good with very quiet, older dogs, but not younger, so a home as an only dog would be best.

The perfect home for Sadie is one as the only dog OR, one with an older dog like we have that will not bother her. A home where Sadie can fun, with plenty of opportunities for walks, to be around people who will dote on her, snuggles on the lap at night and to make her oh so happy.

If you feel Sadie is the Brittany for your home, please complete the online application and mention her name and ID #. We would love to tell you more about her. Sadie is UTD on vaccines, is H/W negative and on prevenative. SADIE will be spayed mid July and will be ready to go to her forever home no later than the end of July.

HISTORY:

Sadie is an owner surrender out of the Dakotas. Her owner moved in with his daughter and she had a couple of Dauchshund’s who were much younger and were always in her face and jumping on her. Her owner could see how much they were annoying her and so he decided it was best to find her a new “quieter home” to meet her needs
