Adopted!!!
Lizzy is a sweet Brittany Mix, who came to us from the shelter in Redding, CA. She arrived at the shelter as a stray, and they reached out to us for help. Lizzy is a velcro girl. She loves her people and loves to get the attention that a sweet, deserving dog should get. Lizzy loves her backyard, and sunning herself on the patio. She is not a barker, and is very willing to do what you ask. But, Lizzy would prefer being the only dog because sharing her people’s attention could be difficult. How she became a stray is beyond us, as she wants to be close to her people. Of course, given the opportunity, she will take herself on unsupervised adventures, so a fenced yard would be really nice for this girl.
Lizzy is in good health, but one of her hind legs was broken in 2 places – above the knee and also below the knee. It was never treated, but the breaks have rejoined, as the areas are now calcified. She does gimp a little, but it doesn’t stop her from taking walks and getting on the couch. A potential adopter should be aware of this, because her walks shouldn’t exceed 1 mile at a time, and she shouldn’t jump around or off anything high. She may develop a little arthritis as she ages, but she doesn’t have any pain at this time.
If you want a dog that will love you with all of her heart, and make you believe that you are the best human in the world, please take a chance on Lizzy. You won’t be disappointed.
