Meet Sophie, an 8 year old big ol bundle of love. She is velcro, especially if you are prepping food. She has her own bed, but likes to start on yours.Don’t let her blindness fool you–she has mastered the backyard, the stairs, and the dog door. She will also find any bit of food you leave on the counter and figure out your garbage can!Sophie loves every human she meets, young or old. On walks and hikes she seeks out new voices to say hi! She is intensely curious about every new sound. She is unsure of most dogs but if they approach slow or she gets the first sniff, the encounters go well. Barking dogs on trails make her really nervous.We are working on getting her use to wearing Doggles to protect her eyes, and building up her confidence in new environments with daily walks the change every day. She can also stand to lose a few pounds.
