6.12.2020 Owner has terminal cancer, is surrendering Lucky Penny. She is currently living with other dogs, cats and is reportedly good with children. She is going to a foster to adopt situation, spay, microchip, updating vaccinations already scheduled.7.30.20 The primary vet of Lucky’s foster family was concerned about a heart murmur so Lucky was seen this week by a cardiologist for an echo. She has PDA. Cardiologist says surgery is necessary in order for her to have a normal life expectancy. Going to another cardiologist for a second opinion.Lucky Penny had heart surgery to repair patent ductus arteriosus, a condition that would have shortened her life, ABR did a fundraiser which brought in $5000, the cost of the surgery. Subsequently, Lucky Penny was able to be spayed and is now can expect to live a normal, healthy life.
