Adopted!!!
Timmy is a sweet, roughly 32 pounds of petite remarkably
wonderful personality, considering the situation he has come from. In the
time Timmy has been with us, we’ve learned so much about this guy.First the things we are working on: he is a jumper on people
(looking for love), furniture and counters. He is a chewer of loose
material (socks, kids clothing, and blankets), but we have diverted most of
this energy with Nyla bones. And lastly, he has apparently never been
trained any commands so he needs considerable work in this area on sit, stay,
come, etc. Now, what you’ve been waiting for: Timmy is crate trained
and house trained (no accidents since he’s been here). He is good with
our kids, our resident dog, but his interest in cats is unknown. Timmy
travels well in a vehicle, enjoys walks in the woods or on the road as he does
extremely well on a leash. He also responds well to a tone on a hunting
collar, but unsure of how he’d respond to the shock as we haven’t used it.Timmy is an energetic soul, but certainly knows how to turn
off his Brittany when indoors. He has been enjoying all of his new
experiences now that his life is not contained to a small chain link kennel, fun
for humans as well to see this guy act like a puppy soaking up life and
learning about the world. He is exceptionally good at tunneling through
fresh snow…????Most importantly, Timmy loves to snuggle, simply wanting
love, a comfortable bed, and would be a great candidate for a lap dog! Our
family is in love with him, but we know that he will bring much love and
companionship to those that open their heart and home for this fine gentle dog. Please no
sight unseen adoptions for this guy. We feel it is important for all
family members (humans and canine) meet to make sure we have a good fit.
If you are interested in Timmy please complete theadoption
application.Timmy is one of 10 dogs surrendered to ABR in January 2020 after their owner
unexpectedly died. All were living in outdoor runs with barrels as
shelter. The family notified ABR and we took all into rescue. This sweet boy is
current on all vaccinations, neutered, heart worm negative and on prevention
medications.He also has been microchipped.
