Adopted!!!
Howdy from Champ (AKA El Champo)! Champ is a wonderfully sweet Brittany. He loves to be around other dogs and humans and plays extremely well with a neighbor’s young pup. Champ has done very well inside the home with a few accidents (foster mom didn’t understand his cues). Champ is a quiet Brittany. Not sure if he is actually quiet or since there are 4 other Britts around he feel no need to bark or make noise. So far, Champ has done well around indoor/outdoor kitties. Champ has had limited exposure with children however neighborhood kids, aged 4 and 6, Champ did very well. Teenagers were no issues as well. The shelter stated Champ was around 6 yrs old however foster mom and vet believe he is around 8 yrs old.Champ is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative, neutered and microchipped. He came into the foster home a bit skinny and has gained some weight. Champ is a good eater and eats well around all of the other dogs. Champs front teeth are worn down however this does not alter his appetite or behavior. Champ’s back legs and gait are “weak”. Foster mom and vet believes he might have been kept in a small kennel limiting his movement. His legs/gait are improving and has no limits.Champ was found in a parking lot, no owners looking for him. A good samaritan brought him to the county shelter where ABR was contacted.Champ’s forever home would be one where he could be with other dogs playing outside and have a soft bed inside. Cats and Kids welcome.
