Dog Story: Gilbert is another handsome dude from Spain ready to take on his new world! He is young, energetic, and very sweet and gentle. His Spanish foster home said; He’s the most chill of everyone. He is affectionate and obedient. He’s been very good with us. He is a muscular 50 to 55 pounds with a large head and soft eyes. His current foster home has two other dogs, one Brittany and one Yorkie. Gilbert is very playful, particularly with the Yorkie. He acts like a young puppy with opportunities we suspect he has never had before. He is very curious, but not destructive. Gilbert is well behaved in the house and learned house rules very quickly. He is not crated as all three dogs have full run of the house at all times. Both Brits sleep on the floor alongside their foster parent’s bed at night. Gilbert loves to spend a lot of time outdoors. His foster home has a four-foot chain link fence with several chestnut trees in the back yard, so Gilbert sits in the shade watching for his opportunity to chase the squirrels that collect the chestnuts this time of year. He is obedient and comes quickly when called. Gilbert loves affection and is quick to beg for it by putting his paws on you. He would make an excellent companion. He likes to take walks and is leash trained. He often sits at the front window watching life go by.
