Dog Story
Dolly (Greek pronounciation is Doughly) is a recent arrival from Greece. She was found 3 years ago in a hunting region; abandoned and starving. Her rescuer heard about ABR from Above and Beyond Setter Rescue and reached out to ABR. Dolly has been thriving in a foster home since her arrival in America.
She gets along great with her foster brother and sisters and would enjoy the company of another dog in her Forever Home. However, the most important thing to her is her person(s). She loves lots of cuddles and closeness with her human – sleeping in your lap (or on the furniture) and would love to sleep in bed with you. She’s crate trained and will also sleep well all night in a crate. She’s totally housebroken with a doggy door. She lays down nicely in the backseat for car rides.
Dolly is shy at first with strangers but warms up quickly with their attention. Her foster mom strongly recommends an obedience class, which will not only teach Dolly things such as leash manners (she pulls) but also serve as a bonding experience with her Forever Mom or Dad. Dolly is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm and parasite negative.
if you think Dolly would be a great addition to you family please fill out the online adoption applicationand mention Dolly!
