Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
My name is Dexter and my mission is to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY . I am one BUSY boy! My foster mom says I am very smart as I know sit, down, stay, off, shake a paw and come when you call me. I also LOVE to play fetch and will bring it back and drop it at your feet to throw again and again. When my foster parents are busy I entertain myself by throwing around my toys or sitting at the window keeping watch to ensure we don’t have any trespassers.
I was an only dog prior to coming to ABR so I am learning how to interact with my foster brother and sister and am doing pretty well. I know to ask to go out to potty and sleep all night in my crate without a peep! I have not been around cats so they are an unknown and my foster mom thinks I would do best in a home with a little bit older children as I might knock the little ones over in my play, not intentionally of course
My foster mom and dad are teaching me how to settle and snuggle for some lovin and I am finding it’s nice to take a few minutes from play to enjoy a little down time but then I am back up playing again as there is so much to do.
I am wishing for a forever home of my very own who understands that I am fully of energy and will be committed to channeling that energy each and every day. I am very nose to the ground when outside checking out every square inch of the yard and run like a deer enjoying running and playing in all the snow here, so I will definitely need a physically fenced yard in my new home.
So if you think I just might be the boy of your dreams fill out our adoption application and mention Dexter.
History:
Dexter was owner surrender to ABR as his family wasn’t equipped for his energy level with a baby on the way.
