Adopted!!!
Dog Story
Do you have time and patience? Would you like a young dog that you can train and mold to your liking, but would rather not go through the housebreaking and teething? If you said yes to these questions then Billy is the dog for you.
Billy is about a year old, but still very much a puppy. He has boundless energy and quite a bit of mischief in him to keep you moving. He is very friendly and affectionate with humans and tries hard to please, however, he is still learning what is or is not acceptable behavior. He likes people, chew bones, toys and treats in that order. He learned the routine of the house within the week and except for some puppy transgressions is quite well behaved. After a hard day of running and playing he settles down nicely at night and sleeps quietly in his crate without any problems.
Billy is getting along well with his foster brother and sister, but has not quite learned his limits with them. Due to his exuberance, at present, he may be better suited as an only dog and for a family without small children. He doesn’t seem to have had any training and must have been an outside dog. He does know his name and comes as soon as you call, he knows the meaning of No and responds to it most of the time and he walks well on a leash (we use a harness). Billy has made tremendous progress in the time we have had him. He is a fast learner and very smart. He is looking for a family that is willing to continue his puppy education and has the time and patience to invest in making him the perfect companion that he can be. He would benefit from obedience training and lots of constructive exercise . He likes to have his humans in sight, so somebody home with him most of the time would be good for him.
Billy has a clean bill of health from the vet, has been neutered, is UTD on his shots, HW negative and on HW meds. If you think Billy is the right dog for you, please fill out the online adoption application and mention Billy #4191. Please don’t hesitate to call his foster parents if you have any questions.
Dog History
Billy was rescued by ABR from a shelter and nothing is known of his background.
