Adopted!!!
Dog Story
Holly is the sweetest little girl ever. True to being a Brittany puppy, she has endless energy going strong from morning till night! When it’s time to settle down in the evening she wags her long tail to curl up in your lap and be with her humans for lots of love. It took some getting used to going in and out through the doggy door but now she’s a pro!
This bouncy gal loves to play with her foster sister and brother, although he doesn’t much care for playtime. However, she just runs circles around her Britt sister and will play until our Golden Retriever just can’t play anymore. Holly’s not done yet though when everyone else is tired out, she picks up the tennis ball and tosses it up for herself to catch! Also true to her puppy self, she pulls every single toy out of the box until the living room looks like a dog toy explosion! Her favorite indoor toys are sturdy Nylabones, good for needed puppy chewing.
Holly has all the usual puppy behaviors that will require continued training learning good manners. She pulls very hard on the leash as most Britts do when they are busy sniffing during walks. She likes jumping up to investigate things and with her long legs is even able to reach food on the back of the kitchen counter. Holly’s habit of jumping up on people also needs to be worked on. Holly is learning the basic sit and stay commands, and definitely needs a family that will do basic obedience training classes in addition to working with her at home. We don’t know how she is with cats as there are no felines here. Holly will probably be fine with children, but with her exuberant bounciness and jumping tendencies she’d likely knock little ones over.
Holly is basically a total Brittany puppy full of energy who needs lots of attention, playtime and supervision. She will be a great companion and playmate for another dog to help wear each other out. She will cry a bit when we leave and is used to resting in the crate when no one is home and at night to settle down comfortably. Holly needs a home that understands the needs of a young bird dog pup, where she can be with her humans most of the time and not left alone all day. With a family committed to spending lots of time with her and continuing training, providing plenty of daily exercise and playtime and of course snuggles and love, Holly will keep growing into a wonderful family companion. If you’re ready for the commitment of a busy Brittany puppy, please submit the online adoption application and mention Holly-3723 before contacting her foster family.
Holly arrived as a stray to a shelter in Utah and was transported to California for foster care.
