Adopted!!!
Dog Story:
Meet Jackie, a sweet young girl. Her lean young body measures 13 from the shoulder, weighing 31 lbs. She has a soft mannered way about her, but she is also confident with herself and gets along great with other dogs. At the moment she is living with 6 Brittanys and 1 Mastiff and has no problem pushing her way into the pack line up to help them chase the birds off the pond.
She would be fine as an only dog in your home or with other dogs. She has a face that makes you just want to give her lots of snuggles and she sure loves it when you do. She has had limited exposure to our vets cat and did well. She walks excellent on a leash and never pulls.
Fostering Jackie has been so easy. Her temperament is so friendly to everyone she meets. It appears that she is always smiling along with her tail always wagging. She loves children, so much that we think she must have been in a home with children. In the month we have had Jackie she has learned excellent house manners and is house trained. At times, she has a stubborn streak, but amazing how a treat makes her remember instantly what she is meant to do.
She has free range inside her foster home during the day and at night she sleeps in her crate. Jackie is whistle trained and comes to her name and knows basic commands. She has a strong hunting drive so a fenced in yard is necessary for her as she can spend hours hunting for lizards and squirrels. She does well with grooming, loves to be brushed and touched. Her coat is soft and smooth and almost white with a few orange patterns and a fluffy white tail. She does a striking 4 legged point and can be seen from afar because of her tail.
Jackie came from a shelter. Within days of arriving in her foster home it was determined that Jackie was pregnant with 6 pups for which she successfully delivered on 12-31. Jackie was an awesome mother. The pups are now weaned from her so she has just been treated for heartworm. She is up to date on all her shots and microchipped. She will be spayed in early March and will be ready to adopt at the end of March. If you think you are interested in this petite pretty girl, please complete the attached adoption application
