Dog Story: This is my foster Brittany ‘Paprika’ named for the red spice. She was dumped with her very young puppies at a city shelter. When she came to me she was emaciated, anemic and scared. After just 2 weeks she gained 6 pounds. Another 2 weeks, another 4. Now a trim 38. She loves toys, cats and any form of backyard movement. Typical Brittany response to squirrels and birds.locked on and ready to go. She knows sit, stay, down and quit kissing the cat. Walks OK on leash, little bit of pulling at first. Comes to her name and/or a whistle. At 1.5 years old she is full of energy and loves to run, bounce and play.also loves ice cubes. She will come running at the sound of one hitting the floor and grab it up, run into the other room and toss it around before crunching and eating it. Once she is quiet she curls up on the couch or bed. Very little barking and when she does it is a cute little whoof at the cat as an invite to play. Her play bow is comical because she drops her chest and elbows on the ground and pops her front paws. The cat is still not impressed but she sure makes us laugh. This is a great family dog for kids (with appropriate supervision of course) or other pets or both. Smart and eager to please. Paprika is spayed, heart worm negative, current onshots and onflea/tick/heartworm prevention Paprika was rescued from a shelter where was left with her very young puppies. .
