Dog Story: Meet Barkley this sweet pup is 100% Brittany boy! He is a bundle of energy and loves to play, run, chew and then play some more.Barkley is smart and eager to please. Helikes to follow you around to see what you aredoing. He is happy to be loved and cuddled and likes lounging on the couch with his Brittany foster sister. He can run and play and crash for a nap, then get up and do it all over again! Barkley is going to be a larger Brittany; he is already a little over 30 pounds with big paws, long legs, and plenty of growing left to do! Like all puppies, Barkley is into everything and loves to chew so he must be carefully supervised to make sure he isnot eating anything he shouldn’t be. Lots of chew toys and Nylabones help redirect his chewing to appropriate items. At his foster home he is living with a fiveyear-old boy and is very good with the kids. He does, however, jump up quite a bit and may be too exuberant for very young toddlers. He sleeps in his crate at night and for rest time. He would enjoy a doggy sibling to play with and keep him company. Barkley’s new family will need to be prepared for all the joys and challenges of puppyhood.including lots of playtime and exercise, continuing his crate training, attending basic obedience class, and helping him learn all the skills he needs to grow into the Brittany gentleman he is meant to be. Barkley is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. His ideal home will be an active family with Brittany or bird dog puppy experience. A placewhere he can continue to grow and thrive and get plenty of attention and love. If you are ready to have an energetic and playful young companion, please complete the online adoption application before contacting Barkley’s foster family. Barkley was turned into a local shelter. When no one came to claim him he was released to ABR.
