Adoption Pending 11 January 2020!!

The saying is you're only as old as you think you are. If this is true, Lucky must think he's 4. He is a fabulous Britt who does not have a clue that he is older and is supposed to have slowed down.  He is an affectionate guy who gets along great with our resident male. He loves to play with his toys and run around the yard like a maniac.
Lucky is very sweet and loves to cuddle with his humans on the couch. He knows to sit and wait to be fed. Leashes are a work in progress as are most commands. But he is definitely is smart and trainable. He'd be great in a home where a quiet dog is preferred as he rarely barks.
Lucky will need a family committed to his training and including him daily activities. Please no sight unseen adoptions for this boy, we feel it is important for all family members (human and canine) to meet to assure we have a good match.
If Lucky sounds like the Britt Boy for you, please complete the adoption application and be sure to mention him.

History:
Lucky is a surrender to rescue.  His Dad, a senior gentleman, passed away.  Dad’s care giver found Lucky with his human the next morning.  The family planned on euthanizing Lucky.  Dad’s caregiver stepped in, took Lucky home and notified ABR.  This boy came in to our rescue program.  He is neutered, Heart Worm negative, on preventive, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.   He has a thyroid condition that requires daily medication, but is otherwise healthy.
He is just waiting for a home to call his own.

Adoption Pending 26 January 2020!!

Hi, my name is Trixie. I am roughly 5 years old but don't have any records. American Brittany Rescue saved me from a shelter in Watertown, MN. I am 35 pounds of pure joy that bows to any human. I am energetic and ready for adventure but am also perfectly happy cuddling on the couch all day. I also enjoy sleeping in my foster parents bed :)

Although I am a happy, healthy, and darn cute Brit, I do have a couple quirks. I absolutely hate being kenneled and would do much better in a home where I could roam free. I have also been caught snapping at other dogs in certain situations, although for the most part I get along well with my foster family's Brit and Yellow Lab.

With no vet records, I'm working on getting caught up on my vaccinations and heart worm prevention, but I am spayed.

If you're looking for a sweetheart cuddle bug Brittany, I'm the girl for you!

PS: My foster dad thinks I have a strong drive to hunt since I'm always trying to get the rabbits that live under his shed.

Meet Teva, a sassy and oh so vibrant 11.5 yr old Brittany!  Don't let her age fool you though!  She can run as fast as a 1 yr old and STILL WANTS TO HUNT!  She is on the go… go.... go when outside.  When inside though, Teva just wants to snuggle with you and follow you around your home.

Teva has settled in very nicely into her foster home and now loves her foster brother.  They work together on the acreage chasing the birds or anything that peaks their interest.   You see, when Teva first came into rescue, she wanted to play with other dogs, but became very scared and would fight.  That was the OLD Teva...the new Teva has found her confidence and is making up for lost time!

Teva's perfect home would be one where there is land to run on, another dog to run/work with as well as owners who understand the breed and their needs.

Teva is up to date on her vaccines and heartworm negative and microchipped.  If you would like to bring this little firecracker of excitement into your home, then please fill out the adoption application and mention her name and ID#

History:
Teva was adopted by her family when she was about a year old and the family adopted another dog a year or so later.  They got along beautifully up until the last few years when they started fighting.  The family had to make the agonizing decision to surrender her to rescue in hopes she could find a better home and a happier life.

Meet Gage, a very sweet, energetic and intelligent 2 ½ year old Brittany with papers to prove it. Gage loves being inside with his people and you can usually find him at our side. He seems to like every person and dog he has been with as he is very social and always wants to join in the fun. Gage loves his toys as inside he plays fetch, but outside he plays keep away. Gage is active (you should see him when he gets the zoomies), likes to run and explore things but after his play time he will lay by your side snuggling into something soft and comfy.  Gage has charmed us in the time he has been here.

Gage loves his walks but is a hard puller and we have been working on that since taking him in and he is making strides in this area as well. Gage had a few accidents when we 1st took him in, but no more. We do however, let him out often during the day and when we leave our home, we do not crate him and he has done fine.

Gage is working on learning basic commands. He spent much of his prior life outside and is lacking some social skills/manners. He has made great progress in a short amount of time and will no doubt benefit from an active family dedicated to his education. We have had good luck with SIT and NO, with varying degree of success on the others but with practice he should do fine. Currently, his exuberance would be too much for small children and he can be a bit mouthy when he gets too excited playing.

Gage does not have any desire to hunt. He is afraid of gunfire unfortunately.

A secure fence is a must! Gage loves to run up and down our fence looking for weak spots. Gage doesn’t climb or dig, but will attempt to push through if given a chance. We do not want him to go to a home with an invisible fence. Nothing against them, but he has marks on his neck from the collar which means he may not have been respectful of the system in the past.

The best home for Gage is an active family with older kids….one that will include him in most of their daily activities. If you are home during the day, that’s even better. Gage has a lot of love to give and would love to receive just as much.

Gage is up to date on his vaccines and is heartworm negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in Gage, please complete the adoption application and mention his name and ID #.  We would love to tell you more about this sweet boy.

History:
Gage was purchased at 6 months old to be a hunting dog as he came from good hunting lines.  Unfortunately, he will not hunt and is very afraid of gunfire.  His owner worked and worked with him to no avail so he contacted our rescue to help him find a good family home.
