Charlie

(Illinois)

Looking for an active, crazy companion? Our Charlie might be your man. He's a healthy youngster who is looking for a home where he can be included in lots of activities and be close to his humans. He is on the energizer bunny scale of Brittany activity. He has settled in with his resident Britts and has picked up most of the common commands. Like most Brittany's, Charlie wants to please his human. Our boy likes to be the center of attention and will push aggressively to get it. He can be a little defensive when he feels cornered or unsure so we don't recommend him for a family with small children.
This boy needs be included in an active family’s day to day life. Crated for long hours will result in a wild man with excess energy to burn. No long distance or sight unseen adoptions for Charlie.  We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit.
Charlie is a sweet dog and a wonderful Brit who is anxious for your forever love and companionship. If you're looking for a constant companion, Charlie maybe the dog for you. Interested in learning more about this wonderful guy? Complete the adoption application.

History:
Charlie is a handsome boy that has not had much attention. He was an owner surrender to rescue who has already sired a litter of pups.
Our boy is neutered, is current on all vaccinations, Heart Worm negative and on Heart Worm Preventative. He is also microchipped.  Now all he needs is wonderful forever home to call his own.

Adopted 15 November 2020!!

Isabel is a sweet, senior girl that will melt your heart. She loves everyone she meets and craves attention. Her favorite activities are taking walks, watching over the yard for squirrels, rolling in the grass, and napping on the couch. She has a playful side, but she’s not very interested in dog toys or our resident Britt, instead preferring to interact with her human friends. Isabel calms down very easily and is in perfect shape – slim and trim!
While in foster care, Isabel has had full run of the entire house and uses a doggie door whenever she wants to go outside. Isabel prefers sleeping in our bed! Although she has excellent indoor manners, we are trying to get her more comfortable using a crate. She gets nervous when visiting new places or hears some loud noises (trains and leaf blowers are scary, but thunder is fine). I don’t know if she’s ever been around children, so given her nervous side, I’d recommend a forever family with only older children. Ideally, her new family would have one adult working from home (or maybe a retiree) and a fenced yard to explore. She would benefit from some refresher obedience training (i.e. “stay” and “come” commands) using a gentle voice given her sensitive nature. Her leash etiquette has improved a lot while in foster care! She can be placed with another social dog  or be the sole focus of your attention. Isabel’s only behavioral concern is that she an anxious pup. This is probably a reaction to being in a new environment and will likely subside as she becomes more confident in her surroundings.
No long distance or sight unseen adoptions for this special, senior girl. We feel it is important that all family members (human and canine) meet to assure that we have a good fit. If you want a loyal, loving companion, Isabel may be the dog for you! Please fill out an application and mention your interest in her.

History:

Isabel was surrendered to an animal shelter because her elderly owner could no longer care for her and was quickly placed with an ABR foster family. Very little is known about her, but she appears to have come from a loving home given her sweet personality, indoor manners and good health. She is spayed, micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on preventative
