Copper is a self proclaimed, “very good boy”. Even the vet states he is a very good boy. He does well with dogs, cats and people. Loves the outdoors, but gets easily distracted by its enchantments. So plan on waiting a bit before he goes potty. We’ve been working on basic obedience commands. He does have that Brittany prey drive. We are working on leash manners to avoid a walk becoming a hunt session. We’ve been using a harness which helps that progress. He loves car rides, belly rubs and he rewards you with kisses.

Copper can become anxious when his people leave. And he will vocalize a little in protest. We provide him with a chew toy/pacifier in his crate when we depart. He is a boy who will do well in a household with other dogs and some human friends to continue the training /progress we’ve made.

We are not considering long distance or sight unseen adoptions for Copper. Approved adopters must commit to a meet and greet (humans and canines) to assure we have a match.

Copper is an owner surrender to rescue. His human Dad passed away and Mom could no longer care for him. Copper is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, Heart Worm tested negative and on preventative. He has also been micro chipped. If you are interested in learning more about Copper, please complete the adoption application. This good boy is anxiously awaiting home of his own.
